What kind of scrollsaw are you going to use? It looks like you'll have a great handle to use to move the paddle as you scroll

I've never made a paddle yet, but have made a few pairs of oars. the sea scouts explorers I belonged to made our own instead of the whole fund raising thing to buy them. for art work we got to pick what we wanted on the blade, some chose fish, birds and other river animals, I chose the green head fly, a biting fly that knaws a 1/8" hole in your skin to drink your blood, and very common on the sea coast where we rowed.
I will be making a paddle soon though as I am building my own stand up paddle board and can't stomach the price of a "real" paddle.
