I built a 95% coroplast tear (5 x9 with a 4' rear slide-out extension, 585lbs ) last spring . It is fine for the roof. I supported mine with stiff insulation sheets and spars; you can't stand on it, but it as as good as a canvas roof, but more rigid. I used sandwiched sheets for the sides of my tear. Here's the benefit of my experience. I have found that for the side application, you really need some sort of stiff/rigid framing for attachment. I built another with wooden sides and a coroplast roof (605lbs). The coroplast makes a big difference on weight. Notice how close the weights are between the two tears. The over size of the first was bigger, but I like wooden sides.
