Reshipping

Postby droid_ca » Thu Nov 08, 2012 8:49 am

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a company or person that does reshipping as there are lots of trailer parts that I have found online at very reasonable prices but they wont ship to Canada example Summit racing has rims I want on Ebay for $96.95 a rim but if I go through their website they are 164.95 each plus the international shipping so I was wondering if it was advisable to go through a re-shipper...Just seeing what some of my options are as I heard there are lots of scams out there and don't want to get ripped off cause I'm trying to save a buck

I have run in to the same problem . I live in Manitoba , within driving distance of the US border . There is a lady in Pembina ND USA (a border town) that will accept packages for a small fee per package . I drive to Pembina and pick up the packages then bring them back with me across the border . This works out very well . I don't have to pay brokerage fees and save on shipping costs . .... D.J.

That is kinda what I'm looking for except the closest border is 9 hour drive so I'd like them to reship it to me...But I did call a place and they said they do match prices so I gave them their own prices to match so we'll see what happens

The shipping will probably negate any savings. You would be paying for shipping twice. Once to the reshipper then the international shipping to you. More than likely, you would save more if you had to pay slightly more for the item and just pay the international shipping directly to you. Although the example you gave might be an exception. I can ship domestic shipments at a discount, but I don't get a break on international shipments. Otherwise, I might try to help you out.

I have been sending emails back and forth with some of the places and they might to a price match or better on some of their own products....That is awesome I just wanted to be able to make a purchase and pay for the overpriced shipping...so we'll see what they say
