I even made a suggestion to one member on what to say to his kid and that post got deleted and it was only a suggestion and nothing more. So it depends on who says what, when it comes to a post being deleted by an Administrator.

Gage, I deleted those posts because you chose to take isssues in to your own hands rather than let an administrator deal with it. I don't want to see another post in this thread or anywhere else on the forum from you that questions my motives for keeping this forum civil. If you have an opinion related to the topic of this thread, it will not be removed.

Sounds like the administrators are taking their job seriously and only removing posts they find offensive.
Seems very reasonable to me.
I'm glad they are using restraint and leaving the rest, no doubt it would be easier to push the delete button and walk away from it all.

Rob

Thank you Rob,
This is precisely what I'm attempting with this thread. There's too much useful information for it to be removed. It would have been far less stressful to have pulled it.

My opinion about this posting is you talk with forked tongue. I never once questioned your motives on the open forum nor did I ever say which Administrator was doing the deleting. I've only questioned you via PM's. That's where it should be handled. Any Administrator (including yourself) will tell you that. I don't name names or call names and I can't do anything about how someone reads my post. And now I guess I can't even defend myself without being deleted.

...just remember, you can avoid being deleted by being banned...it has happened in the past(to you) and can happen again...think about that before you post ANYTHING!!!!!!!

Right after I came back I had a couple of issues where I about stepped over the line and was reminded to watch what I say. But that is in the past. I do watch myself when posting. That's more than I can say about some on this board. Wonder how many I have offended with that statement.

Is that right? I didn't know that.

To get back on subject, I am packing (Legally) most all the time. a .40 Walther PPS for going to the big city, and a small S&W bodyguard most everywhere else.
I am in the military 22+ years and want to always be able to defend myself.

have you heard the one about the guy that carries a 45 caliber pistol, if you ask him why he carries a 45 he will reply "because they dont make a 46" some believe the bigger the better. I do to an extent, but 40 caliber or 380 I can make work for me.

That one has the same kind of trigger as the glocks do. I'm thinkin if I get another one it will be the glock 19-9mm. It has a standard 15 round magazine and they also make a 17 round and 33 round magazine. If I get that one it would be my shtf handgun.

Well, they beat a Beretta .25 or a PPK .32 :)

These are my old friends, going back over a 40 year period:
Image
Starting at bottom and going clockwise:
S&W Model 19 .357 Magnum, tuned up and accurized, Safariland #13 Duty Holster
Kimber 1911 A-1 .45 ACP, Laser Grips, Bianchi #80 Holster
Glock 23 .40 S&W, trigger job, Milt Sparks Versa Max II IWB Holster

I carried the Model 19 and later a Model 66 for years, until the magnum's recoil got to be too much as a steady diet for my old hands, then I went to the autos. When I quit competition, I got the Glock. It's reliable, but not as accurate as either of the other two, and the DA trigger doesn't even come close to that of ether revolver for smoothness, although it's a lot better now that it was when stock.

If anybody is interested in maybe buying a handgun but don't know what kind to buy this guy on you tube (hickok 45) compares different kinds of guns. Beware though that he is more partial to glocks but he gives all of them a fair shake down. I like watching him shoot.
