Hi found this on the web Coated Aluminum Sheet

Aluminum sheets that have a baked on enamel coating on both sides of the sheet. Available in a wide variety of colors and sizes.
MASKED DK.BRONZE/WHITE ALUMINUM 4' X 10' X 040 $58.65

1. Harbor provides free UPS or FEDEX Ground freight on all Business orders for products that meet UPS size requirements for standard shipping, shipped anywhere in North America for orders over $50.00.

Can the aluminum be rolledup for ups shipping?

Has anyone done business with them? they also have plywood,Acrylic, and
Marine Grade Douglas Fir plywood.

Robert

I purchased some 4'x10' aluminum from a company in Greer, SC that was aluminum with baked on enamel coating on both sides. Cost was $50.69 per sheet including tax. However, it doesn't roll up very tight. I think that a 30" diameter would be the smallest roll possible before the paint would start to crack/wrinkle. The company wouldn't roll it at all. They said they would sell it to me and that I would be on my own if I tried to roll it.

The company is Alumnapanel. 1-800-359-3795

Can y'all tell me more about the enameled aluminum. What is the advantage of buying it already enameled? Can you handle/ship/manipulate it enough to get onto your tear without without scratching it? Can you touch it up? Thanks, D. TIllery

That's correct. But if you're just a guy building a trailer making a one-time buy, you're not making a "Business order." In short, you have to open a business account with them to qualify. I got my 3mm marine plywood from them so I know whereof I speak. Fortunately for me, there is also this:
3. Harbor Truck delivery - Harbor operates a fleet of delivery vehicles in various locations throughout the country. Your Harbor Representative will let you know if your order will be delivering by Harbor truck. There is no charge for Harbor truck deliveries.

I was within their local delivery area (which appears to be fairly big) so I got my plywood shipped free via their truck.

Robert: you should be able to find pre-painted (enamel) aluminum sheet from a sign supply company in your area. That's how I got my white 4x10' .040 white aluminum that I used for my roof and hatch. And delivery was next-day and free! Right to my house.

Look in your yellow pages under "Signs-equipment and supplies" and call around...

D. Tillery: The advantage is that it's already painted. It generally with comes one side coated with a plastic film to keep it from getting scratched.
