A gentle reminder. When one does apply for work, it is best to make an effort to spell correctly. I have never hired anyone, but had coworkers who did. Regardless of what you hear, they did care about spelling and grammar. The skills required for the job were more of a physical nature, but it is considered to be good form to have a well polished application/resume. Should I have put a ' at the end of resume?

to add to this thought the local Library has leads as does the senior citizens centers to people who would be willing to help
but you need to ask they don't go door to door looking for someone to help it's up to you.

I too love coming to the Forum on a regular basis.
At first it was for information to assist me with my teardrop build.
But now it is just to check on what my new "Forum Friends" (most of who I have yet to have had the pleasure of meeting) are doing.
Also it has been an enjoyable way to learn how to type........they didn't have keyboards and Forums when I was in school taking that boring typing class that I skipped out of most of the time to go to the pool hall. (still a better pool player than typist)
Anyway, I have been biteing my lip on this thread for a long time as we should all hate to suck our Forum into a political debate, even though we all have our personal opinions on that subject!
But for Mikes sake (and this is his thead) there have been some good comments and suggestions here.
And sometimes it does take a good kick in the ass to help us get moving.
Yes Mike "IT is time for a change in your life" and thinking that you were magically going to prosper the day after the last election if the results had been the other way is just a denying the fact that "YOU are responsible for where you are and where YOU are headed!" Your future is entirely in your own hands!
Figure out what skills you have in your arsonal, other than loading hay and sorting potatoes, and figure out how to make those skills into something that you would enjoy doing that can really make a living at.
Very few people ever get rich from a job they really hate!
When you can't wait to get up and get to work in the morning because you enjoy what you are doing, you have a way better chance of being successful at it!
Attitude is everything!!!
And frankliy yours has sucked lately!
But only YOU can fix that too!
Please don't take offence to any of the comments that have been made by those of us who have participated in this thread.
WE are all trying to help You to see the LIGHT at the end of the tunnel.
It is also easier if you have a partner in your journey to help get through the highs and lows (physically, mentally, and monitarily) and hopefully you have found that in Angie.
Maybe it is time to get off of the FARM!
9 years ago, I too was down in the dumps and thinking my business choice was not the best one I had made and that everything was not my fault.....life sort of sucked! Then I made the decision (without God) to take my life into my own hands and think positively instead of negatively and change ALL of the things that were not working for me. Immeadiately life started to change for the better. Which lead me to "The LOVE OF MY LIFE" who has stood by my side through my new journey into the future.
Now 9 years later we are looking forward to taking an early retirement and going teardropping!
Remember the word I used earlier "Attitude" it got me through health issues in the past and has now worked to get me through what everyone has been calling a recession????
I chose to say "What F...ing Recession" and go on to ignore what others were bitching about and make my business and life successful.
YOU CAN TOO!
Throw a way the crutches you have been using in the past and look at tomorrw morning as the first day of the rest of your life!!
Guess now you can see why I was holding back on getting into this thread??
Good Roads
And all our love!
Brian & Sandi

PS
9 years ago I had to use a food voucher for the first time in my life so I could buy something to eat as I was really hungry.
Today not brag but my net worth is over a million dollars!
YOU CAN DO IT!

Yup. Warshington the State. Not Washington the D.C.
It's a Warshington thing, you might not understand unless you lived here a while. :D Maybe we Warshington folks should try to change the spelling officially. Then we wouldn't have to say "the state" afterwards. My mom suggested that living in Orygun :) would be a good thing because there is less confusion.

We tried to change the official state song to Louie Louie about 30 years ago. That didn't go over very well.

In our fair state, gas prices have been going down. I paid $3.29 a gallon the other day when I was in a bigger burg. I hope it keeps on going down. It is $3.49 a gallon in our small community.

Stumpy,

About $5.85 a gallon where we are in Oz.
We are about 470 miles from the state capital where it is a fair bit cheaper.
