Egg trailer

Postby deceiver » Sun Nov 25, 2012 5:12 pm

My niece has come across a recent model of an egg camper at a decent price. She's seen it and says it looks like about what she wants. Does anyone know of them or have one that can comment on any issues or if it's been a good unit to own? Thanks.

What brand? What size? How old?

All have a large impact on the quality of a used trailer, especially a fiberglass egg.

If it's an egg camper from http://www.eggcamper.com they are well made and nice trailers. I've seen one up close and personal and really liked it.

It's literally an "eggcamper". That's the brand. I think it's either like new or nearly new. Anyway, It's in excellent condition. I was just wondering if anyone had experience with this particular brand.

Thanks, I had to look up Eggtrailer. Haven't seen one like that out here on the left coast.

Unless you're talking about their "teardrop" model, they seem like they are quite large and not so light.

Is there some inherent advantage over a conventional "stick built" trailer of similar size?

Aren't they pretty much like a Casita or Borro, or whatever they were....

You might want to look at this one, for sale by one of our members, who is now living in Maine:

Being fiberglass, I would think it would be light-weight and fairly low maintenance.

Oh, those are nice...not what I was thinking of at all!
