Architect-1 - The aluminum is attached simply by the screws fastening the molding/lights/etc. I didn't use any adhesive, though after seeing the amount of movement in the hot sun, some adhesive around the perimeter may have been a good idea. I've had one section where the sheet aluminum expanded and broke the sealant between it and the molding. Not a big deal, but something I need to fix. The aluminum corner molding is a fairly standard RV molding. I bought it at a local RV supply shop.
