Thanks Ned for your wishes. Kris was diagnosed in 07 and had surgery and had all the chemo etc. then in 2010 she went in and It has been fight fight fight, chemo etc. and she even spent a year in Texas getting treatment at MD Anderson. The problem is now she is in a lot of pain. The doctors Have not found anything to stop the growth and it doesn't look real good and the meds for pain have changed her personality she used to be so up and now she is flat. It is difficult.
Congratulations on your mom That is so wonderful!!! I know the ovarian math so i know: that is great !!!

Now to my TD, I have been working on a drawing ha ha ha ha    so it looks like a kindergartner drew it and my dog ate it so since it is all in my brain I will have to just say it is going to be similar to Eagles Mickeys Teardrop Since I have to wait for money to buy things. I have all my camping gear already. My only 2 things I want to add is a bear fence and a Yeti for my out west trip. I am working on the Bear fence charger now. I have everything for the fence I have 6 blown 110 chargers and have a friend who is working on changing one over with the help of a car coil to a 12 volt. Hopefully it will work!!! The Federal Park Service says it has to be 6 jouls to work successively with bears. Oh yea don't tell the Bears!!!
I haven't found the cute idea to name it yet, but I have some ideas.,
I still would like to build a homemade trailer with the square PVC fencepost.
Thanks for the suggestions, oh and i am confused about the putting pictures on and the Gallery I am just not forum/computer savvy but I am just reading and reading.
Good looking Pony!!

:D of course I have another question. I was not sure if I should ask here but If I took layers of two inch foam and glued say 6 pieces together could that be shaped into a type of fastwater/fishing kayak, I want a fishing vessel that is shorter than the paddle boards and more the shape of the fastwater Kayak. Just thinking

Eagle, three or for white socks on that pony ? Very good looking !!!

Mary , what you propose seems entirely possible .... All the while I was carving on the paddleboards , I was thinking , Foam fishing boat  ... some thing like Rosey’s , but more a sit on top ... ish’ pretty easy to do with foam .... shorter for transport , wider for stability .. thicker for buoyancy ... something less risky for my old carcass ...

I was at one of those sport places and looking at one of the fast water Kayaks and it is made of a plastic,.... ok some type? I was wondering out loud was it full of air or something to create buoyancy and the boy said his had a hole inside of it and it didn't hurt. When he sat down it came up to his waist so thats about eight to 10 inches. The actual part under the hinny would have to be two or more inches thick? I was thinking a piece of marine Plywood ????? sandwiched between 2 pieces of foam something that will bear your weight upon entry or would it be necessary? Don't want to put your foot through the bottom. In the back let it be wide and thin down. Wide and flat enough on the sides to put fishing rods and paddle. room inside for a small fishing tackle box and bait box and of course your feet. YOU could use two larger football shaped pieces of foam to connect to the back sides for stability. Use a larger piece of pvc attached to the boat behind your back. Use smaller pvc to attach to the football pieces then when you wanted to attach flotation just thread them through the larger piece of PVC. Hope you can envision this. GPW What kind of chemical, (lagging compound) was used on Rosies boat? I forget the name and what was it for. Was it just used for boats? is there any mention of it being used on the forum? I missed it or havent read it yet? I am still reading but so excited about building my TD and so much thinking I seem to get confused, don't tell the kids they will just get interested in putting me away....... :frightened: They already think I am crazy. but I cant talk to them about this they just get quiet and go off talking to each other about me. But the up side is I am getting to see them more often. They are checking on me? OH well just wait till I have finished the TD and it is working with my car and fishing from my "boat" they will see!!!! :)

No use using plywood , it’s Heavy and it delaminates eventually ... If you wait a week or so , we’ll be trying out the canvas covered paddle boards with fiberglass drywall tape on the bottom to add strength ... It’s Light , STRONG , and inexpensive (Thrifty)

Speaking of Thrifty , I’ve just become enamored with going to the Thrift stores ... Looking for Cool shirts to wear with the band .... Got some really cool stuff for Cheap ... Stuff I couldn’t find in the regular stores ... like old bowling shirts , front panel shirts and guayaberas... Thrifty is Good ...

Anybody heard from Rosey lately ???? we need to ask her about the boat ...

The Federal Park Service says it has to be 6 jouls
Interesting... I'll admit I haven't used a bear fence yet, but the kits places are selling don't have 6 joule fence chargers powering them. Many of the kits use the 4 D cell battery chargers which are well under a joule. If you look at the fence chargers in the kits, you can find the same units at farm stores.

For a short period you can power a 110VAC fence charger with an inverter, but you will likely need to protect the inverter from rain. I wouldn't run it off the car battery, but a house battery in the TD could be used. The inverter could then power small chargers, laptops, etc.. Using a 12VDC powered one would be better in the long run. My IntelliShock 52B will use a maximum of 5 Amp hours a day on a heavily weedy fence. On a weed free fence it will use less than 1 Amp hour a day. An AC fence charger powered through an inverter would likely draw allot more.

Just a bit of a info I figured out awhile back: Premier1 sells one of the fence charges I know is used by one of the kits. The case and model number has changed, but the stats are the same as the old SG50 unit seen in the UDAP kit. The Speedrite AN90 http://www.premier1supplies.com/detail.php?prod_id=51667&cat_id=43 is only 0.08 to 0.09 joules. It can be powered by 4 D cells or a 12V lead-acid battery. If you look at this page from UDAP http://www.udap.com/bearshock.htm you will see the SG50 fence charger, minus the quick setup post. The Zareba 10 Mile Battery Operated Low Impedance Fence Charger http://www.zarebasystems.com/store/electric-fence-chargers/b10li (also known as the "Yellow Jacket Fencer") is a similar unit, but over twice as powerful at 0.25 joules output. It is used by some bear fence kit suppliers.

I plan on using one of the IntelliShock 52B units http://www.premier1supplies.com/detail.php?prod_id=373&cat_id=43 I use on the farm. They put out a wallop, but also cost allot, >$300. It would likely be massive overkill for a short bear fence as I only use 2 of them for my whole farm. I keep a spare one around on the farm incase a unit gets taken out by lightning. For power, I'll run it off the house battery in the TTT.

For fence posts: http://www.premier1supplies.com/detail.php?prod_id=440&cat_id=47 I use the 35" gray ones on the farm for temporary fences. They are the longest lasting ones of all that I've tried, only three to four seasons, but that is two to three seasons better than any of the others. The secret is lots of UV inhibitors in the plastic. For a bear fence I'd get a set of the 48" ones. I'd space them every 4 to 8 feet. 4' when rounding a corner, and 8' along the sides. Buy a few extra as the clips eventually will break, but if you are careful they will last. Don't bang them hard. The fiberglass rod posts tend to splinter and you get fibers in your hands when handling them, even when new. The insulator clips for the metal posts die unless you use t-posts and use quality insulators. Then you need a fence post pounder and fence post jack as part of your kit.
