What's he gonna do? Hit me with an injunction and take my deposition?

:Oh Brother:

Hope everyone enjoyed April Fools Day... I had fun with it, thought the bow tie was hilarious!
Can't wait to see you in person Guy at Pamplin!!!
Welp, we loose an hour of sleep tonight, so it's early shut eye time for me and the kids...
Don't forget to set those clocks ahead tonight...

Edited: Oh-No... Not that big hairy fur ball again! :frightened:

I defended you,

Postby Guy » Sun Apr 02, 2006 12:01 pm

Dear Tom,

And I defended you last night on the telephone with Dean. He said "Isn't it amazing how thin Tom was when he was riding bikes compared to when he is drinking martinis?" And I said "NO!"

Remember three quarters of the board have never seen that "lovable furball" pic before. So I brought him out of the cyber forest for one last waltz.
Regards,

Guy

Gee,
Thanks Guy...
Hey Tom,
That observation was directed more so towards myself, as I too was quite a bit thinner, when I was putting in 100 mi. + week in and week out.
Just for the record... I did brush away the 1/2"+ layer of "shop build-up" off of my bikes a couple of months back and I did just this past week, talk to some old cycling croanies about getting back in the saddle again soon...someday, uh-huh.
At some point in time, I will get back on the bikes instead of just looking at all the "signs" as to why I should.
Sorry if that observation, as stated by Guy, sounded like it was directed at you... It wasn't.
Oh, I don't really know if Guy defended you or not, maybe he did, maybe he didn't....
I don't remember him saying that, but I was a bit distracted, thinking back what it used to be like, when I was in top physical shape.

Guy, you just traumitized a whole new generation of teardroppers with that thong photo. Oh, the humanity!

And yes, it's true I've gotten fat.. I keep telling myself that I should get back on the bike. But, here it is the first really nice spring weekend. And what am I doing? I'm painting that propane tank holder I built last weekend. Later this afternoon, I'm making lasagna in the dutch oven. I'm hopelessly obsessed with my teardrop.

No offense taken here.

I went skiing with one of my cycling buddies a couple weekends ago. After the first few runs, my legs were killing me. By the end of the day, they were unbelievably sore. It really made me realize just how out of shape I am. I used to be able to ski hard all day and not even think about my legs being tired.

If I ever go bike touring again, I'll have one hell of a nice SAG wagon to haul all our food and gear.

As for the dutch ovens, I have 2 Ten inch Lodges. They're great for cooking for the family. But, they're too large when cooking for just my wife and I. So, I'm thinking of getting an 8" for when the two of us are camping.
