I named Angela after the redhead Angela character from the tv show The Office.
I do not communicate with the lanterns ----- yet. But if I did I know Angela would love the attention she gets
The little shiny 242 with the Doug Hodder inspired mica globe ( I saw his 242 with one and had to keep up with the cool crowd) is named Marshall after the character on the show How I Met Your Mother. And yes there is a lantern named Barney.
Last weekend I got two 200s at the fleamarket. I got both for $15. Both seemed to be in excellent condition. When I got them home I discovered that the better of the two had a super rusty pump tube. Somehow it got full of water at some point, I think its to far gone. So I took the best of both lanterns and built this one. It may very well be my best 200 A.

The pump tube appears to me to be just mild steel on most lanterns. I too was wondering about a hone. I did not know one existed that was near that size. I am sure it would work. In fact I have just sanded a tube graduating through several grits and got it to work.
Eric...I think the dia. of the tube is too small for a brake hone....I use a piece of dowel, with a slot cut in the end...strip off some sand paper (fine grit) to fit in the slot in the end with some good flaps on it, chuck it up in a drill and hone it. I've got some fiber backed sandpaper however that doesn't come apart, like an emery cloth. Just an idea. Doug

I guess I'm old school...kinda like trying to go into a drug store and looking for soap....it's now called "body wash" seriously....the drug store didn't have a sign on the aisle with "soap"...it was freaking "body wash"....I give up....I wonder what the new term will be for toilet paper....maybe "posterior tissue"....Doug
