Perm, Howdy;

I could do that in Texas as well, only a smidge over 100 miles from me opposed to 1000 +++miles
But I'd end up paying any way as reg. "fees" when I got it back to N.M... :(

As I have to travel to Utah to clean out the storage bin, and I've been prusing the resource;

ksl.com

I look under Automotive then utility trailers. Last night there were 803 items listed :shock:

I'll find me sumptin' .... going to be a 6X12 THAT much I'm sure of.

Thanks for the reply and support.

Prem, Howdy;

Thanks for understanding ...
Think I found a trailer to call home for weekends and trips.
A Kool (made by Pace in Ut.), Element, 7'X12' (with an extra 6"),
single axel, with brakes and 7 blade plug, V-nose, Flat top and Barn doors.
Thinking about a 2' deep storage area at the very back. Hang waders,
build some shelves for other stuff. Should free-up a lot of space as
I can build a sofa/bed across the back ... just some musings. Won't be getting
it till May when I go back to Ut. to clean-out the storage locker.
Any suggestions???
The hard part is waiting till May ... :(

Hank,

That trailer sounds like a really good size and configuration. :thumbsup:

Ideas? Yeah, get some graph paper and design the floor plan to scale. Design it in detail. Figure out what materials you're going to need and what tools. Buy them. You've then got something to do instead of waiting until May. ;)

For what it's worth,

Prem

Prem, Howdy;

Have graph paper on the shopping list for the next time I go to town,
tools are in Ut., no storage here. So, twiddle thumbs till then, and get
creative on paper, and do some research on the 'puter. :thinking:

thanks for the input.

Prem, Howdy;

I lean more towrds 5X8 cards for brainstorming, until
I'll lose one or 2 of the important ones, :x
then move the project to the graph paper. :lol:

Got RV windows and other parts and pieces you'll need? Ebay works okay. So does asking at RV shops where they do repairs and have stuff they don't need.

Wrecking yards are good places to find parts.

Hank,

When I was building the Round Tail (see my album), I needed an RV door. I went to a local RV repair place and asked the boss if he had any used RV doors. (I was thinking cheap!) He said he had just put 75 of them into the dumpster over the past few months! But then he asked me if I wanted a new, flawless one for $100 that he didn't want to pay to ship back to the company cuz it was made the wrong size by an inch. I looked at it, measured it and bought it. I built the door hole on the trailer to fit the door. New beats used, especially at $300 off! Built in screen door too. Timing was perfect.

Windows might be available under the same circumstances at some RV place near you.

For what it's worth,

Prem

Prem, Howdy;

Well, I live pretty much in the middle of "Not-much-around & Somewhere else".
Small out of the way town in Sw N.M. about 1/2 way between Hatch and Truth or
Conquences. But, ... I might have some luck in Las Cruces, Deming, or El Paso, Tx.
I'll have to out and look around some...
Thanks for the suggestion, they'er always appericated.
