First Night!!

Well We Finally Did It!
After the New Year was officially welcomed in with the traditional glass of Champagne. It was off to the shop with the new bedding and curtains for our FIRST SLEEP in "Miss Piggy"!
Learned a few more little things about sleeping in a Teardrop that will help us in getting ready for the Camping season.

Hey Mike
The sun is out, we have about 2" of old snow on the flat, roof tops are bare, temperature is hovery just below freezing.
But, we left "Miss Piggy" in the shop for our first sleep in.
Didn't relish the thought of treking thru the snow to the bathroom in the middle of the night after all those celebration beverages last night!

I did take some pictures last night when Sandi put the curtains and the bedding in.
Upholstry is still not quite finished and I have not yet downloaded the latest pictures.
How are those for lame excuses?
As I keep telling Sandi "Good things come to those who wait"
So, Please hang in there a little longer.
I am as anxious to show you the finished interior as you are to see it.

It will be a real honor and pleasure to meet Sandi and you at the Dam Gathering and get to see Miss Piggy too. First Night will be after the trailer's done in the spring sometime. My guess is we'll have a couple of close-to-home trips before the Dam Gathering.

Talk Lilly into venturing out to the garage for a sleep over in the new TD.
Just open the Galley, set up a couple of lawn chairs, have a glass of wine, turn out the lights and snuggle into your new cozy TD .....just like it was a camping night in July.

Hi Brian & Sandi,
That sounds like a plan for the future. Lilly wil be flying in this evening from Denver. Next week she will be in Pittsburg. I think that for the next couple of weekends the bedroom will have priority of the teardrop.

We need to get some winter bedding for the TD. I would like for us to be resting comfy on 20 degree F. nights. I'm hoping that a pair of single sleeping bags zipped together will fill the bill, perhaps that is too simple of a solution. What are you folks using for winter weather bedding? My circulation isn't what it used to be, perhaps "zero" rated bags would be better than 20 degree rated ones. Thanks for the encouragement, our first "night in" needs to be a success.

To be honest the temp probably didn't get below 50 in the shop on New Years Eve.
So we slept with the blakets that we plan to use this coming summer.
We are not winter campers.
