not sure what i am going to do this year. hubby and i were talking yesterday about traveling west. this time he suggested it. we both decided we were going to continue working on the original foamie and fix proper doors for it and use that. it will be a tight fit with both collies and 2 adults, but we can manage. not sure if i will be doing much with the second foamie. i wished i hadn't destroyed the wood floor that came with that trailer, i could have still used it for hauling hay.
i just have so many other things i want to do this year.
i did not get to disney world last year and that is not heard of for me. so this year i am hoping to take 1 trip for sure in sep, but hopeing for another one sometime between feb and may. or it might even be a cruise that i will do, not sure on that part yet.
i want to go west this year for sure (i have said that for the last 3 yrs now).
i want to do some trail rides here with the new horse, those take place a lot on weekends. so i'll have to time my camping trips around the horse trips.
i want to fuss more with my dogs, set up an agility course in their field.
fix my driveway and finally buy a freezer.
i just have so much to try and do this year, i don't think i will be doing too many camping trips. i know i have 1 planned for april, and then the west trip, and maybe the last one of the year in oct.

I stand corrected, Venomous snakes. Now if people would stop using "hot water heater".

Mine is better, it will even heat warm water. ;)

I kindof made a resolution to not eat after dinner and before breakfast. Broke it already... It also means I finally broke that new years resolution I made a couple decades ago to not make anymore new years resolutions.

From further reading ... "i think my second build was too high, so i destroyed the shell.” ... :o  :? :frightened: You girls are so Impulsive !!! :o  You know it’s a simple matter to add on to any foamie trailer ... Foam , being a homogenous material (no grain) ...you can add or cut out what you want , no harm done ... Say you have a too tall trailer , mark around the sides , and take out a “section" all around , dropping the height “X” number of inches ... add “reinforcing strips" , paint ... Done !!! Too narrow , split it down the middle and add a center section in , making it Wider... ( you do have to make the floor wider for that ) ... Easy to make Longer too ... Anything !!! Just consider it as “home re-modeling” where you don’t tear down the house first ...

Ps. you couldn’t do that with wood without a Lot of Trouble ... :frightened:

New Years resolutions : Get bills paid, get truck engine in and truck running, get the shocks on the car , get the air conditioner working on the car, get brakes and hitch on the car. get answers to all my questions about my foamie build. Build my Foamie with a great build journal and go camping............. go camping and plan my next years camping!!!
For now I am trying to put together my list of necessary parts to get started.

so I thought I would use the hf 4x8 trailer and make mine 5x8. Does anyone know how far it is from the top of the trailer metal frame to the top of the tire? How much clearance should I give for the tire for bumps and bounces to the bottom of the floor? I am not sure if I explained it ok. does anyone know the distance total off hand ? I have some unused lumber stored in my barn and can pick out what I need and and start planning how to cut it or what to plan on buying.

I am not going to say the usual things people say for resolutions cause those things never get done. Maybe clean off my desk, ha ha ha Ha HA     Aint ever gonna happen !!!!
Thanks for any help.
