Yup, survived another one, and I'm still keeping up (mostly) with my now-11-yo kids. But I really need to finish a trailer before the kids decide camping with mom is SO NOT IT!

I just got back from a Holiday Season visit to my stepmom and little brother (well, he's 31 and 6'5", so "youngest brother"). Now I have a few weekends at home (except for the night shift every other Saturday) to start on my next build. Another foamie, but low this time. Blowing over once is more than enough!

Happy Birthday, Catherine. You survived to see another year!

Good kids don't tire of going camping. Some tire of doing the work involved to go camping or the sleeping accommodations, such as tents or the back of cars, but the great outdoors becomes ingrained in them and they never forget. What you are doing is a good thing. Even the "oops" parts are good because they give everyone something to laugh about and stories to tell around the campfire later. Your kids know you love them and that you are trying and that counts for a heck of a lot. Keep up the good work!

Cathrine Happy Birthday!!!! I am so glad you are back and hope to see your progress on the new build. YOU and Louella are my mentors of a sort. I am 62 and watched every thing you two did making the foamies. I was mortified when yours took flight It brought tears and I was so in anticipation till you stated you and your twins were ok. I know that it was a real emotional occurrence but you got through it and BRAVO for you. You are doing it again. I am so proud, you are a great mom !!!! I am here giving you encouragement!! Mary

Thanks for the support and good wishes. I'm thinking a little hi-low for my next build. I want a low profile for towing, but I still want some extra height for bunks for the kids. I still can't do anything simple, can I?

Well, I'm hoping the traditional four feet hight (folded up) will work, but we'll play with some cardboard this time to see.
