I have to admit, I've been tempted. I think the previous post and childhood forts is right on the numbers....

The only reason I haven't is that my garage is a t-total mess!

Oh Len
I am so inspired!
As I sit here in front of the fire looking out the window at the snow coming down (just came in from plowing the driveway).
Seeing your pictures made me think......what a great idea! "Indoor campout in the winter" with teardrop friends?????
What a great idea! I have the space. All I need now is some Teardrop Friends that would like to participate????
Maybe we will meet some new friends around the Northwest this next camping season, to host an event like this in 2114.

Hey Slow
The "Indoor Gathering" will have to wait until 2014.
But, I really would like to organize something for 2013. Either here at the Farm or in Northern Washington.
You and Angie should get your passports in order.

Well now thar Slow...I've been "driveway" campin fer quite sum time ! When money gits "tight" or my TV is down fer sum reason... I driveway camp ! Jus did it a few days ago and it rained ! I love the noise of the rain on a tin roof( my carport).

I had a teardop and sold it... bought a "standie" and have had buyers remorse ever since ! I jus don't have enuf storage space fer both trailers !

Imma hafta go to the local FD and see if I can git a "burn" permit fer me fire pit( washing machine tub ). Since I live in the "city" and th FD is 2 blocks away, I gotta go check with the boys at the "station" to see IF I can have a fire in me driveway.

I'm certain that there are a LOTTA folks who driveway camp or garage camp...

We tried in in the garage with the Little Red Campfire and it was quite enjoyable.

I don't know about that last picture........looks like fun until you burn your house down?????
Maybe a small TV with one of those Christmas fires playing off your DVD.
Or enjoy the outside firepit in your yard and go back oin the garage when it is time to go to sleep.100051

I don't have my trailer yet (will in a couple of months) but once I do I plan on sleeping in it in the garage on the nights when the cat won't stop meowing his crazy head off in the middle of the night usually from 1:00 to 5:00 AM. My husband can sleep though anything but I'm a light sleeper. I figure the garage will be nice and quiet unless my neighbors are loud leaving for work in the morning.

We haven't gamped, but my kids would love to! I think I would too, but my bed is much more comfortable. Sometimes we just climb in and hang out in there. It feels like a kid's club house. Living in New England limits how much time there is to camp, so we go in there just for fun in between camping.

I put my 4 year old and 2 year old great nephews in the TD in the garage while I was taking care of my laundry. They loved it!!!! It was great to have a safe place for those two rambunctious boys, where they really couldn't get into trouble!!!! Hopefully they will be able to go camping with me when they get a bit older. At least I know they love the TD.

I have camped in my driveway once and two xmas eves at my daughters(as her dogs wants to sleep on the couch with me) unfortunately it's in storage for the winter and although I could still camp in it,,,,I'd never be able to get in around the harley and the other junk....have to wait till spring and maybe camp in the front yard trees with a fire and the neighbors wondering what the hell I was doin.....
If you see my harley on a trailer,,,,call the police cause it's being stolen...

When we had a camper and the group I belonged to wanted to try out their trailers
we said go to "camp Driveway" and give it a test.

now there has been many days I've fell asleep in my trailer parked either in the front driveway or back driveway.
