My experiences with exterior wire runs are from my time
in the Military and I've no wish to replicate that
As I've mentioned before, I'm thinking of running the wires
along the juncture of the side walls and the ceiling. Probably
in some loom and behind some moulding, something like this;

I agree whole heartedly! My wall that does not have cabinets to protect the loom will have something like that too. Life lessons are hard to forget.
I will be keeping up with your build. Thanks for sharing the link. Always looking for options.

in running the wires down the side near the roof and the side there was a builder on this forum
who did something like you want.
sorta like what you showed but home made using wood blocks and paneling I'll try to find the post

Thats what I did I run all my power down the 45% section I have 12v 120v and TV jacks and 12v lights to the back of my trailer outside lights and the switches next to the entry door it was easier and no drilling my metal studs.

Thanks for the validation .

As My intended trailer will be a flat top I shouldn't
have such a wide gap to cover and should help keep
the wires and looms from swinging around like a
jump rope in there.

Howdy All;

Well, I like to think I'm sorta the 'Open minded'
kind of fella.
Today I saw a USED 1999 Pace American
Cargo Sport, 7X14, narrow wheelbase (has wheel wells
inside), Barn doors on the back and has an RV latch on
the Front dooras well as the swingover latch. It's been
used to haulHatch, N.M. Chillies, ground, dried and fresh.
Rubber looks fairly reciently replaced, a few minor
scuffs. 2 overhead lights with a wall switch near the
front door. 2 crank-up overhead vents.
Floor and interior sides look almost new.
What would you be willing to pay for something like this.
Is this one of the trailers that has wood side supports (ribs)???

Should have mentioned that the original asking (by sellor),
is $3,500.00 .... I've countered with $2,500.00.

Thanks for lookin' in the devil's yard sale for me I hadn't gone there yet.
I'm thinking of buying the trailer in Ut. and save the fuel charges on the
way there. Then have my trailer to haul the crap back here with. I'd spend almost
$1,000.00 just in diesel just to run and fetch one of thoses.
The one I noticed is only 2 miles away ... cost of diesel is right for that one...
Out here, in Southwest N.M. the pickin's are slim. May have to re-check KSL.com
one of the Salt Lake City tv stations runs a great things for sale site... as I have to
clean-out my storage locker in Ut. this Spring.

That is why this is my last diesel. Between that and the EPA killing diesel fuel, its not worth it any more.

my 30' 5th wheel up and down the Rockies ...
I avg. about 11 to 13 mpg. when I do.
When I'm out running around doing errands and such
it gets about 20 mpg. As long as I behave myself, I'm Ok.

I'm partial to mine too and I get the same as you do. I love the power, if I can hook up to it I can move it. I've hauled 25' 5th wheel, Lance cabover, flatbed loaded with shingles and cattle all over the place without a hitch. I'm getting too old to jack with that now so my need is falling short. I determine "need" by what I'm hauling and cost per mile. If your still pulling the 35 footer you fall deep into the need factor.

I hate all the games the EPA is playing with diesel. Since they have taken out the lubricants, one needs to add oil to the fuel every so often, the exhaust afterburner is a hazard. They finally build a good pickup and someone has to go and mess with it.

Howdy All;

Well, time to bump this to near the front.
Have pretty much made up my mind. Think it's going to
be a Haulmark Round nose Passport 6X12, PPT6X12DS215"
rims and tires,1 skylight, with an RV latch installed along
with the bar-lock. "Plain Jane" all the way...
To my thinkin' allowes me more room to manouver and more $$'s
for the modifications.
Should be putting the down payment on it in the next week or 2.
If I have to travel to Utah to get it I'll be clearing out a storage locker
I have there anyway. That would be the first half of May.
Should save the Sales Tax as I live in N.M.
