Plywood countertop questions

I just ordered a 6 x14 cargo trailer that I will get in a couple of weeks and I'd like to build an 18" countertop in the v-nose area. It will span the width of the front in the shape of a V. Any suggestions on plywood type, thickness, structural support, screws,etc. would be appreciated. I'll probably put a shelf in above it too. Looking forward to any ideas on the buils. another way is get a counter top from lowes or home depot they don't cost much.
they will of course cost more than plywood birtch is a nice looking.
you didn't mention if you were installing a sink and stove stuff like that determinds
what you use. If I ever get one I'm going with a factory countertop from lowes

What I used is the the most expensive type plywood they sell I don't know the name but it was about 30.00 for a 4x8 sheet and it has a finished side almost furniture quality that is the best that I could find, it's heavy but straight.
I don't have a wood shop with alot of tools so what I did was go to lowes and bought the stock 48 inch counter top with a nice back splash build in and they also have the matching 4x8 sheets.
They sell the same counter tops longer but you would have to cut it and have some waste if you went with a straight counter across the front.
I left enough space behind so I could use that area like a small room and that is where I have my bathroom and alot of storage, but I think you could use the straight counter and push it all the way until the V starts and build cabinets space behind it>? you can never have enough storage space ?
This is the way I got the best desired finish without alot of building, and it was easy to cut a hole in the top?

Thanks for the replies gents. I think I'll go with a one side finished plywood 1/2" or 5/8" and finish it. My bro. is a painter and I"m sure he will have an idea what to finish it with. Probably use 1x2's for support. I will be putting in one of those cheap ABS sinks and possibly a hand pump faucet. Suggestion on screw types to attach it to the 3/8" plywood walls?
