I can back trailers, even short tongued ones, pretty well. A guy that worked for me a few years ago couldn't back a trailer to save his Mom's life. I swear...he'd start the truck and the trailer would jump into a jack-knife.
Having a front receiver is a real nice addition. For many years I ran a tree care company. I welded up a hitch for the front of my E250. An my bigger trucks it was super simple to add a receiver to some part of the front end. Being able to push brush chippers and trailers into tight quarters is a breeze! It's more intuitive since your eyes and brain are looking right at what happens.
build the front mount...and you'll be fronting in easily!
