You've done a fabulous job on this build. What thickness diamond plate did you put on the walls ?? Where'd you buy it ?

Aluminum came from Yarde Metals which is a commercial supplier in the Northeast, it is 4'x8' and .062 thick (about an 1/8") cost was $105 a sheet delivered.

The windows came from Ebay, Glasswarepro was the seller. about $65.00 shipped

The .062 is actually 1/16th thick.. I was actually considering if I could use that, or if I did in fact need to go with the 1/8" (.125)
So, do you feel that the .062 is sturdy enough to endure your use??
We use our trailer for dirtbikes, streetbikes, 4 Wheelers, Kawasaki Mule, etc..

Correct, 1/16 of an inch. It is more than sturdy enough, i would have gone with the thinner stuff (.047?) but it was the same price.

I have been waiting to drill the holes for the water fill and electric cord until I could borrow a 3-1/2" hole saw and today I did, dark and snowing I put on my LED headlight to drill away so I could return it tomorrow. I did take time to reflect what was wrong with me as snow flakes fell down my back as I drilled the holes (no court has been able to prove anything by the way) but I attributed it to be a good friend that wanted to return the drill as promised...

Holes drilled and everything in for a test fit,



Water, electric cord, battery vent and a exterior outlet below. I didn't install anything as it is in the 20's and didn't want to caulk anything.

Although to cold to do anything outside I planned on cleaning up my HD cabinet front diamond plate inlays... my way of making my regular(and cheaper) cabinets worthy of the build.
So first thing was to clean up the edges, started big but ended up small, a quick wire brushing and they were good to go.



Clamped in with wood so they don't get scratched,



Laid out the holes with ultra sophisticated equipment,





Pre drilled,



Countersunk,



And installed, a little silicone behind for adhesion.



And one section done!

Pump showed which means I can do the plumbing soon, one more missing piece and I can do all the plumbing.

I got the rest of the cabinet fronts on tonight, maybe a bit much but hopefully they don't look like kitchen cabinets anymore.



I still have the base of the beds to do in diamond plate so when they are folded up you will see them, still not sure if the beds will be tubular steel or wood....we'll see.

Not sure what I am going to do for a counter top either, was thinking steel or a home depot stock top, maybe black formica? other thought was to use the flooring with a aluminum trim around the edge?

Just wanted to say GREAT job on your conversion!!! I really like the cabinets with the diamond plate...simple, but helps break-up the monotiny of all white

Getting TONS of great ideas from all the members here...just wish I had my trailer with me, but it's back in Texas...BUT it will be there when I finish school !!! Can't wait to get started !

That is crazy who would spend $100,000 for that Ya it might look cool but the price is insane. I am sure people on here could pull that off and build that for alot less price and the bedroom is crazy so you have to sleep on a angle or curved. That would not be relaxing after a couple of nights.

My power converter got delivered today,



Because electrical work is not one of my strong points, I read the manual and then re- read it.



It's actually pretty simple and self explanatory,





Only thing I can't figure out is what type of 120 breakers it takes? Manual doesn't say anything, housing doesn't either? I googled it and nothing...I'll show an electrician friend and he'll know but you would think they would say???

Seems like we have a Noreaster heading our way so might have a snow day tomorrow, should get alot done!

I'm going to read that manual again....

Snap a pic of the bus, where the breaker snaps on. And I'll tell ya what Ind to use. Most use square D homeline , Siemens qp, or GE THQL style.
