materials for a newbie

Postby mrslamb » Wed Feb 06, 2013 9:58 pm

Hello,

My husband and I are starting our first teardrop build in the next couple weeks. We're trying to get all our materials ready, and we have some questions. We have been searching through the forum and found several helpful answers already, but was hoping to get more direct answers to our questions.
1. Any disadvantage to using marine plywood (from Menards) on floor and side walls vs baltic birch. Planning walls to be 1/2 inch then insulated and skinned with TBD material (recommendations on that?)
2. Also planning to skin the trailer in aluminum- any recommendations on glue? We've just seen contact cement used.
3. Whats the best way to weatherproof the bottom side of the floor?

Thanks! Happy camping!
