Good Morning Mike
We have never had a Sun Shade...........until now!
Sandi bought a 10' Broadstone Ezee up from Canandian Tire.
It was around a $100.00 and has one closed side.
I have set it up so that it can be attached to Miss Pigging in three locations.

Hey Slow

I'm thinking about making a canvas shelter that would attach to my hatch while it's up. When I make it, I'll post some pics. It never hurts to have a little shade.

When Gary and Trudy came to visit last summer, they convinced us that an easy up is the only way to go! And it really is easy!!!

Let me see if I can find a pic...

Okay, here's one. It works well when the hatch is up too, but I don't have a picture of that yet.

However, we also have an easy up for over the hatch. It is, however, heavy, and tough to put up by me alone. Need to have two thumbs.

Considering something like the pa ha qua shade with side walls when the ez up wears out.

I love my Paha Que Canopy, especially after I figured out how to put it up by myself. The only part that I don't like, is that I bought the orange one a couple of months before the Paha Que came out with the ones with the side walls. Oh well, I still happy, and it works so well. It kept the sun off, and it also kept the frost and dew off when I camped in late September.

Yes, this is the orange 12 x 12. I definitely recommend the 12 x 12 for the extra space outside, and the extra coverage over the galley.

Hey Verna,

That could still work for you... especially if you like camping toward the end of October! :D

Mike, it would work....but I'd have to buy the new one. I've already invested $$ in the orange one, so I'll make due with it. I've never received a reply about my request for a retrofit on mine, so I'll take that as a "no".

I use TWO ez-ups to cover the tear and the hatch. They get "wired" together at the center legs so that they make a 10 x 20 shade. THis works very well. As noted earlier, it is not extremely easy to set them up alone, but they are very good for meeting one's neighbors! I attach screen walls to most of the sides, and solid walls to the area around the door. That way, I have a changing room that is extremely useful, especially at night! I do NOT set them up when I am on the road. They are for when I am finally at my destination.

I bought a 12x12 Pahaque cottonwood also. I haven't used it yet, but will this next trip. I don't know if mine works with the side walls or not..I was confused by the link above for the sidewalls. It says they are for use on a 10'x10' tent, but them seems to indicate they are for the 12' ones.
