camping while fishing or fishing while camping. The reason I wanted to build and camp in a tear drop is because setting up and taking down camp takes too much of my fishing time. I have thought about the problem of traveling with fishing poles and thought about breaking down and taking off the reel and that is again so time consuming so .......since I sew and have gotten an idea for a simi hard cover. My fly pole doesn't break down so I have to have a long keeper. I also have been thinking about making some type of a foam cover. I just have to keep the art of kiss in mind.

I throw the poles in whatever I am driving. I have discovered I can put the poles above the curtain rod too. Working on a top for the tear and a rack or cover for the truck. The kayaks go in the truck for now.

I have a few of the collapsible rod set ups always in my vehicles...you never know when you'll find a new spot you want to try 8)

Hey, Miriam! Your new set-up looks great! That red stripe on the trailer points right to the red truck and ties it all together nicely.

...Now, back to your fishing subject.....

It might work for one but since I want to make it sorta hard too. I want to put three rods in it.sooooooo......I don't know but I will think on it. I was sorta thinking bout going with one about 8 inches and use the extruded foam to sorta dig out and make a hard case covering it on the outside with canvas. thanks for the suggestion!!

Don't have my teardrop done yet. :x But do plan on doing alot of fishing when we're camping. I already have a rod case for the rods that I bring with. My problem that I have is because Molly and me use float tubes for fishing is, Where in the heck do you put a couple of wet float tube.

I put my floattube in a rubbermaid tub. Then soon as I can I get it back out and let it dry completely.

A pool noodle works well for a small rod. I have used one for about 5 years on a rod I hike with. I slit the noodle all of the way up one side. Then I rubberband the rod together or leave it strung up. Light pressure will open the tube slit and I can slide the rod in.

Home Depot has plastic protective tubes for florescent lights that work also. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R ... R1gxmddCSo
