 So, I gather, from the picture, that the Kamp King is going to be yellow on the outside too? Or, am I looking at it wrong?

it's going to be yellow, charcoal and high polish aluminum with black trim on the outside. That's the interior side shown in the first pic...Doug

Sharon, I think that must be the inside of the curb side, since it has the door in it and the front is to the left in the pic. Seems to me.

I got the upper cabinet built, got a chance to use that big 1-1/2" R roundover bit that I bought for the Voyager. I always like the rounded corners that a lot of the cabinetry had in the older trailers. I also got the overhead cabinet partially built for over the dinette. Managed to get 5 of the 7 windows restored, or as restored as I'm gonna do, new cranks, new gasket material if it was available. I had to get 2 new pieces of glass cut for them. Since the extrusions on the windows are so detailed and I didn't want to make a career out of polishing them up...I opted to spray them with metallic silver. Much of the material was really pitted and wasn't going to polish up all that well anyway.

I also got the dinette built. I'll get a table made this next weekend. A small storage bin right under the cushion on the door side seat makes it handy for flashlight and other small stuff when setting up, keys locks etc.......kinda like a junk drawer in the kitchen, at least we used to have one. Seat bottoms will be hinged for storage underneath. I picked the cushion fabric, grey with yellow, black, white and light orange stripes for the seat backs, awning will be the same material. Seat bottoms will be solid grey. I'll give Marti the go ahead on that as soon as I get the dimensions together. Still waiting on fabric to show up for the quilt and curtains.

Steel for the door frame is bent up and ready to start fabricating it. They were out of the steel hinge I need however and I need it to fit it all together as it gets modified for the screen door. Doug

Doug, each trailer you build gets a little nicer and better. This one is no exception to that. It's going to be a beauty. :applause:

Now, where's the pic of the fabric? :pictures: Are you saving that for next weekend's post?

With all that yellow, it's going to have to be really dark before you will need lights. The radiused corners look nice on the cabinet.

And fewer gouges in the personal equipment.

All that yellow will be toned down when I get in the table with the charcoal top and the cushions/ curtains/ quilt. That, and the color in the photo from the fluorescent lights is out of whack. Doug

Good to hear. Would not want to wake up in the middle of the night with all that yellow. Could be traumatizing.

I keep remembering something from a quilt color class i took years ago. " Every quilt needs a touch of yellow for movement. And also that yellow is more visible than any other color, so the eye will always go to the yellow in a quilt first, so be ware of what you want showcased." Don't know how that applies to a Trailer, but it sure is sunny and happy!
