The yard sale sounds like a great idea. I too have a lot of "left over parts." Things I bought and then changed my mind but never got around to selling. I'll bet everyone does.

(And maybe by that time I'll be wanting to buy your spare cast iron, Bobhenry.)

At the last CRA, I bought two windows - they made the trip down to Texas without a scratch - then with two windows, I built this!

I'm looking forward to visiting a friend who owns a winery down there. A few DO pointers and a beginning of a full week of vacation probably spent in wonderful Indiana parks.

I like the yard sale event idea. Also tours around to each site to see everyone's ideas and tricks of the trade. It is always good to see how others have plan out for storage and new creations of designs. I am coming alone so more events going on even better to keep busy. : ) Maybe we could post pictures on here of some of the items we all have we would like to sell or trade with each other and rough idea on prices so we know what to expect. One thing I am trying to locate is a awning for my CT 9X8 awning that is always attached to the CT so I don't have to keep lugging along the easy up tent in case it rains. I like to reduce weight when possible. My CT is gray in color it is a 6X10. I like to hear everyones ideas on new designs and new products that help make things easier. One thing I wish I did different is my A/C I bought a CR7000 Climate Right unit it is portable but heavy and I didnt know about the deck plates they use for Marine use. And I wish I had those instead of what I used for connectors due to they stick out to far and not a clean look. I didnt want the through the wall A/C that is why I went with the Portable CR7000 but it is loud on the outside and it is over kill for my 6X10 because it would do a large motor home. So maybe when we all see each other you can all give me some new ideas for that.

I never played Corn Hole so not sure what that is, but I want to learn new things and big thing is the dutch oven cooking

When you are downsizing into an 8 x 20 home I need to pare down just a bit.

Brian;

Your next door neighbor Jeff "scuba" has a great awning system on his cargo trailer. It was simple and inexpensive.

Bob, there are plans for a "Swap Meet" (sort of a yard sale). Dan Galvin organized the event in 2011 but I'm not sure if he will be here this year.

We will need a "back up" person to run it in case Dan can't make it.

It really was a huge success and many items were sold and/or traded. Any volunteers??

 Kurt only has 4 spots left in side A if you want one better speak up soon. But never fear there's plenty of spots available in site B only a short walk away but those are starting to book up also so don't wait to long.

If you happen to have one of the mystery sites on side A please let us know so we can update the map, if for some reason you want to remain secret just let Kurt or I know you have the spot and I'll leave the name off.

Wood is people booked with our group
Yellow are sites kurt holds that can be booked
Red are sites held by people we don't know and that don't know yet that they are future Tear Jerkers

My thoughts on the yard sale. What we have done at the vintage rally is on Saturday, start after breakfast and end long before the pitch in is to put for sale items on a blanket or tarp at your own site, instead of at just one location. This really works very well. Gives people another chance to walk around, and we wouldn't have to deliver items to one site for sale, then have to go pick up items that don't sell. No need for a person to direct, just another activity to have on the list.
By the way...we will probably be bringing a truck load of yard sale items since we are bringing two campers with two trucks.

I just re-read a post above...I have a couple of awnings, poles and the rails that attach to the camper, off of some of the pop ups that I have dis-assembled. I will get them out and snap a pic or two. Other items that I can bring to the yard sale are windows, lights, sinks, stoves, cargo doors, pots and pans, etc.. All taken out of pop ups! Well the windows are from the surplus stores.

Good grief keep thinking of ideas...here's food for thought. I drive to a surplus store about once a month for parts for campers. Beings as Indiana is the self-proclaimed RV capital of the world, They have almost everything to build or repair campers except for frames and structure. I am talking axles, windows, electrical and plumbing parts, wheels and tires, vents, hitch items, trim, upholstery, hardware, vinyl insert, and tons more I can't even remember. I would willing to pick up and deliver some items for others if we can work out arrangements. Of course items would have to be paid for and they will hold them for pick up. Here is their contact info...Ickes Surplus...Montpelier IN...765-728-5668
