Elph53 wrote:Just wanted to add a quick hello here for the other ladies! I am Lauren, and myself and my husband Rob are working our first build right now. We live in Baltimore, and while he loves to camp with me, he isn't really interested in the teardrop culture the way I am. I am very into the 1940's/1950's, I own lots of vintage things, do vintage hairstyles, swing dance a couple nights a week. I will be doing at least 50% of the building, except the electrical which is his wheelhouse, and I am doing 100% of the shopping for things. I will also be crafting and sewing all the things that will make it home-like.
He also has a big ole full time job that requires his presence everyday, whereas I am self employed and have a lot of freedom to travel. I am working on publishing my second book, and am hoping to get to do some teardropping on my own to travel for book events, and to visit places and people when Rob can't join me.
Anyway, happy to be in such great company and standing on the shoulders of such great building giants.
