How to calculate amp usage

We have a 2012 Little Guy Silver Shadow teardrop. We have the little battery tucked in the galley. It is sealed and does not require venting? We replaced all of the bulbs in the trailer to LED. We have a three-speed fantastic fan. We soon learned that you will freeze if you have it on at night, in ME. This year we want to go to the Smoky Mountains. It will be in July and hot. How do I calculate how many amps the fan will take before draining the battery too much?

First thing I would look for is some sort of label... Most appliances are pretty good about having a listing of amperage or wattage it will draw at what ever speed its running... Also try looking at factory site for whoever manufacturers the fan (or appliance)...

Our tear is larger than the LG and I had the option of having a Fantastic Fan installed but opted to install two three speed Antec computer case fans instead, they use much less current and are much quieter. We have never had them on high, medium works well.



One neat little tool from our friends at Harbor Freight is the 20Amp automotive fuse circuit tester http://www.harborfreight.com/20-amp-aut ... 67725.html from personal experience, handy for diagnosis of problems.
