Have ya thought about turning your battery 90*, with the vent opening .... ;)

Yes I did, but it takes up much more room in the cabinet as well is not flexible enough if I had to take the cover off, basically I bought the wrong kind of tube. Live and learn...

I bought some flexi 1-1/4" tube for the battery vent and it STILL doesn't work...too small, strike 2.

Image

It did work for the water tank so at least I'm set there,

Image

And wired the water pump switch, which aside from one more 120 outlet I am all wired up!

Image

Even has a LED for when it's on.

Bed time!

I pre-cut all the rails at work,

Image

All set for 3/8" plywood base,

Image

Image

I used some of my ultra sophisticated layout equipment "can-o-screws" to set my double radius rail drop,

Image

Evened em up with a block plane,

Image

Some time with a belt sander to clean up the drops,

Image

Pre assembled to make sure it all fit, and it did!

Image

"Wide" body for me and the narrow one for my son, the narrow one will double as a couch so didn't want it to be too wide.

Thanks Hank....
Only problem I'm having is that I had convinced my lovely wife Sister Mary Margaret (3 children from immaculate conception automatically grants you sisterhood) that when I lost (outgrew) my carpenters tool belt I lost all my carpentry skills with it, I have not had to fix anything around the house for years but I blew it with this build...

Image

And now i'm painting, no idea how to get out of this one....

But... after examining 100's of color charts and paint chips I have found
(I had a gallon of paint leftover from another project) the perfect color to match the floor.

Image

Now if I can just hide from SMM for another week or two I can finish this trailer :D

Great progress on your build. Looking forward to seeing the final bed design finished and installed. Need to get some free time on my schedule to make some progress on my build. Keep the updates coming!!

Thanks H2!

Test fit the beds,

Image

I will hinge with a full piano hinge but have not figured out exactly how I will do the legs, I was hoping the whole bed would be stiffer. I probably should have used 1/2" plywood but will stiffen it with some steel that I will mount the legs too. I have a plan but just need to refine it.

3 coats of paint and the bed frames are done,

Image

And of course they have to have some diamond plate on the bottom,

Image

I have to figure out the folding legs now and get the hinges.

I can't figure out what to do with the countertop, was going to buy a premade at HD or Loews but according to the Misses the colors weren't right ( I'm color blind but can see diamond plate just fine).

Interesting fact that I saw a bar sink and faucet that would be perfect for $99 at the HD close to where I work but was in Connecticut at a HD and it was $110, I didn't think that they changed prices between stores and there probably only 30 miles apart.

In ref. to "

Same thing with Wally-World, and most other Large chains, they allow the Managers
some 'descretion' to adjust prices to what they feel the area will support.
Sad but true...

Beds look great! I'm sure the SMM will relent soon as it's finished ..... more time for her
projects then.

My custom made shower box finally showed up! Not crazy about the quality of it as the door doesn't close and rattles back and forth about 1/4" but will fix with weather stripping....oh well, nobody cares about quality anymore :(

Image

I had it made to fit the outdoor shower heater,

Image

At least it fits.

OK....I know I have gone to far but really can't stop now... I ordered fabric samples from www.fabric.com to cover the foam I ordered and a pillow for the couch because you know it has to look good...

Image

$8.99 a yard for a outdoor fabric which Sister Mary Margaret says is a deal!

And.... She will sew em up for me. That's a good woman!

Image

Am thinking the gray for the mattress/couch cushion and red for the pillows, $54.00 and a dinner at Mcdonalds (I'll let her supersize)

Thank god, no she doesn't :worship: I would be in bigger trouble than normal :o

And I was kidding about letting her supersize, that's for special occasions only....don't want to spoil her
