We had a great weekend of camping despite the inclement weather ... thanks Sandy for picking another beautiful Provincial Park.
Here are some pictures:

MountainBiker and I arrived first - we had pouring rain for the entire trip which slowed us down
(5 hours to get there from Burlington) but once we arrived the rain stopped and we got set up without any problems.

Sandy arrived a couple of hours later and got settled in.
Sandy's daughter Elora, her boyfriend Phil and Phil's brother Curtis also came and they set up across from Sandy in tents.

Sandy beside the newly acquired awning tent - beautiful as it covered the entire teardrop
and still left room for some chairs for when the rain came down later Friday night.

It poured rain all through Friday night and into Saturday morning but then it cleared and was just a bit on the cold side.
Me on Saturday afternoon - attempting to make home-made brownies on my Cobb charcoal bbq - it is a work in progress! At least they tasted good!

Saturday - Andy (MoutainBiker) taking it easy - bundled up but look at that patch of sun!

Saturday - Sandy taking it easy after a hike with the kids.

Hannah found the sun too - but was ever watchful of Sandy's camp site in case someone might be coming over and say hi to her!

Saturday night pot luck - yummy! The night's menu featured chicken.
Sandy made delicious chicken stir fry with noodles. We made chicken caesar salad.

Sandy's famous dutch oven dessert cake was the best!

Elora, Phil and Curtis chowing down on supper -
Bravo to them as they survived the rain storm and cold weather in their tents!
And on Sunday we left around 12:30 and the outside temperature was 11 degrees C and a few hours later near Whitby,
the winds were fierce, the temperature had dropped to 3 degrees C and we hit rain, sleet and hail as well as a bit of
snow on our drive back home ... a true Canadian spring!
