The one thing I see as a problem is that it would be a back strainer, notice the angle as he picks it up. I am paying for a number of jobs that I have had in back/neck/hand pain. I was talking to a welder as I was waiting for the weld to cool so that do an ultrasound examination and I said, "do you remember waking up in the morning and not having any thing hurt, and he replied, vaguely.

That would be nice to be incorporated in a TD galley. Perhaps as a slide out to expand the counter space.

I looked at that garage and the chuck wagon box and thought, "This is a man who likes to be organized!"
That is a wonderful design. Ditto on hard to lift and heavy. Seems like it could be wheeled around on a dolly, or just integrate wheels.
I saw a shelving unit at IKEA with plastic drawers and it made me think that you could load up the plastic bins/drawers in your house, stack them on a dolly and easily wheel them out to the trailer and load up in the galley or what have you. The slide in concept is so simple -- you could cut a dado in thick plywood, or just use strips of wood to replicate this concept. Although cabinet drawer extension hardware is elegant, it requires a level of precision & skill in woodworking that I don't seem to have.


My only critique of the chuckwagon box is that, when set up, the base sticks out further than the work space on top. You would hit your shins at the least and potentially knock the entire thing over.

pretty nice.
only thing i would add would be some wheels on the bottom you you could roll it around easily when it was packed up.
add a few straps on top for a cooler, and you'd be good to go!

Back in1974 I bought a camp-box that needed put together
a friend who was a wood worker agreed to do the assembling
I dropped it off at his house one evening the next day we had
a tornado hit I never did see my camp-box again.
I don't feel to bad my friend never saw his garage again either.
the camp-boxes are a great thing to have when tent camping.

Probably more suited to a cargo conversion, but very well thought out.
