I use a mobile hot spot in my CT but not sure what the range of distance apart it works from. But your more then welcome in connecting to it not sure how good the range will be out there. ATT&T has it perks and then some :x

I have the 4G mobile hot spot. So maybe there is no 4G out there and just 3G but I really don't really use much, Because when I am away from work I disconnect from that and go in vacation mode and going without mobile devices is a vacation all together. I am normally on call 24/7 so the break for vacation will be a good thing.

So I went to Camping world today in De Forest,WI and asked about getting trailer brakes on my CT for single axle with brake controller they told me it would be $1,000 plus to do it and 4 hours of labor of $500.00 plus. I was alittle shocked on the price because my friend put them on his CT and he did himself due to the ease of it and cost him way less then that. So I called over to Dexter Trailers and they were more responsible on the price. Just a shock they said 4 hours to do when I heard people do on the CT forum saying it took a hour or 2 and how easy it was to do.

The times quoted are often based on estimates.....and a little profit enhancement opportunity.

I had electric brakes and a Prodigy brake controller added to my trailer and TV 3 years ago. Total cost was $350.00 installed and it took about 1 1/2 hours. I did just take them the hubs and the TV so I had to wire the trailer. That took about 1 hour. I went to the same place, R&P Carriages in Seneca Illinois. They just re installed my Prodigy brake controller in my new Wrangler TV. They also put on a 7 pin connector and pulled power to the connector to charge my trailer battery. The cost was a total of $120.00. There has to be some one else in your area that would do the job for less, it seems way out of line.

cool thanks...yeah I have Sprint and it is hit and miss..I can hotspot my phone and use tablet to do most things....speaking of brake controllers I installed a new P3 in my F350 today for the Airstream...took five mins since it plugged right in to existing wiring harness.... I don't feel the need for brakes on my breadbox....
Where are we going? and why are we in this hand-basket?

Thanks for the advice on the brakes. I know there is a dexter company in Madison, Wisconsin you can buy direct through them and it is alot cheaper. I was also thinking and wanted to get everyone else's advice and that is when I hook my 6X10 Ct on my Ford Escape you can notice the weight due to the vehicle in back that comes downs a little bit. I was wondering if anyone has added air ride system to your vehicle to have your two vehicle level while towing?

Brakes...

Postby Nitroxjunkie71 » Wed Feb 27, 2013 3:14 pm

I purchased my brakes for "Topside" through R&P Carriges also. They have a special kit on their eBay store that includes everything you need minus the controller and it was not much over $200 delivered to my door.

And yes, I added Firestone air bags to the rear of my truck and can say they work great.

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

The T-Shirts orders are mounting but I'm sure there are some of you who haven't sent me a request yet.

I want to be able to get the "Main" order in by March 15 so, please, let me know what size you want.
Shirts are $11.00 each.

If you are unsure about your T-Shirt order, please email me and I'll confirm it.

Thanks

Last CRA, we used our verizon hot spot with no problems - connectivity shouldn't be a problem :D

Do we have any other "Waffle cookers" out there who want to participate in the "Waffle Feast Challenge"????

This should be a fun event and the Waffles are always great with "Mark's Premium Syrup".

In 2011, Mark donated some of his excellent pure maple syrup and he is doing it again this year as well. Mark is one of our sponsors this year.

Don't be bashful and sign up for the "Waffle Feast" on Saturday morning at site #47.
