Great looking trailer! Is that the 5x9 or 5x10 size? One option you might consider is just putting the plastic privacy film on your doors, and use curtains for the windows. I did that on my little trailer and I really like it. we sleep with our heads the window side, so can see outside if we are hanging out in the trailer, and we still get light through the doors during the day time but noone can see in at night. Curtains on the doors can get stuck in the door when you are closing them etc...Home Depot and Lowes carry different designs including stain glass patterns...purty and easily removed if you get tired of them. They just stick on and can be peeled off.

Thanks for that great idea, I"ll have to check out what they have. I was thinking the door curtains could possibly be a hassle, in the dark, when I have to make my usual 2 or 3 "Luggable Loo" nighttime trips. "Old lady" bladder here

We have the 5 X 9 size. Bob and I are very tall, and while I fit just fine in the 5 x 8, it was just a bit too short for him.

Nice looking camper. I see your from Wisconsin but I did not see your name on the "Cooler Near the Lake" gathering. Seeing as how this gathering was originally started because of me I would like to invite you to join us at the end of April at Kohler / Andrea State park. It would be a good chance to show off your new teardrop and were a heck of a fun bunch of campers. Also it sounds like you like cold weather camping and if it turns out like other years I can almost guarantee cold weather. Think about it, there is still time.

I mentioned bringing an Etch-A-Sketch along while camping----it's one of my favorite things to do while sitting around camp. Here's a photo of one of my endeavors, no patterns used, just sat there fiddling with the buttons:

I really like Link's train photos. That is the calendar of steam engines I have this year. He did some great stuff.

I found another Etch A Sketch example while looking through my photo files------hopefully I can find the one I did of the Milwaukee Road's Hiawatha engine and one of my Border Collie Belle. I'll do one of the TD when we take it on it's maiden voyage. I enjoy relaxing in camp, with my feet up on something, doing this kind of stuff.

You are planing on coming to CAG to show it off or even Boogie In the Hills?

We'd love to attend some TD events this year. Bob retires this spring, but I work every Friday through Tuesday (every weekend, including holidays) as a cashier in a "Big Box" retail establishment. We can ask for time off no earlier than 6 months in advance (used to be a year), only a certain number of cashiers will be allowed off on any particular day, and you can bet your bottom dollar the summer holidays and weekends are pretty much gone by now. Nice thing about going camping in the middle of the week---better selection of campsites and less noisey "city slickers" in the state parks we camp in.

Reading the threads, it sounds like a fantastic time and thank you so much for the invite, but I don't think we'll be able to make it this year. As mentioned in the previous thread, if I don't get my time off requests in early (6 months! ), I can pretty much write off any weekend events. I will be watching the calendar for events 6 months out and for next year, then submit my vacation or personal days in early! We're going to try and get out to Kohler sometime this summer or fall to check it out (will be in the middle of the week though).

Those Etch-a-sketch pictures are amazing. It's a shame that they are erased so easily.
But, in the age of technology, thank heavens there are digital cameras to preserve the moment!

Wonder if anybody ever tried to put together a midweek teardrop event. Like Backroads for me I work every weekend and holiday except I am in a hotel.
