I think I finally have my better half talked into us building a trailer. Is the gathering only for those currently owning one or are "wannabe's" allowed to join in the fun? I was thinking that if we attend, she can view them live and personal to see what they are all about.

Does anyone know if there are any camping spots for tents in the park available as well?

As Woodbutcher said bring a tent and join us. There is way to much to see for a day visit. You both will be most welcome to join us Saturday night for the pitch in dinner just bring an appetite as there is always more than enough food. You will go away with so many crazy build ideas you will leave with your head spinning so be sure and pack the camera as you will want to capture those ideas and some of the fun moments at this gathering.

Be sure and bring your dulcimer also so you can join in on the impromptu music sessions around the campground!

Thanks Bob and everyone. Might just bring the dulcimer and the fiddle. I jumped online for reservations and did not see a loop A or B. I see from posts that A is already sold out. What does the park call loop B?

Craig, You might ask Karl or Kurt if the 2 sites in Loop A are still open. If not there is a second loop across from the main loop that should have sites. If you go to the reservation link you will see the sites that are not reserved yet. See ya round the fire!

Hi Bob Henry,

When the Bob Hs get together we could have a "H" of a time!
Along with the D. O. cooking class are you having a skillet throwing contest for the ladies?
Lilly and I are looking forward to our first CRA. I'll be easy to recognise; fat ,gray hair, glasses, a confused expression, setting in the sun by a teardrop, with a cold glass in my hand.

OMG !

If I put on my shades or my readers We're TWINS !

There are 3 dozen members of my immediate camping group right now doubled over in laughter knowing full well how accurate your description fits me !

What brand name do you suggest for Dutch ovens?

In my humble opinion the dutch oven material and quality is far less important than it is in a good skillet. Your dutch oven can be used to bake with parchment liners. For sticky sweets or messy cleanup problems like cheese the use of foil dutch oven liners are also a great answer. I have a camp chef and two ancient unmarked ones. They all cook great and I can see no difference except the fact that the bigger ones take more heat and that's a given rule. As to size most recipes in D.O. cook books are designed for the 12". My camp chef is a 12" standard I often wish it was a deep but I just shift to the 14".
