Luckily everything was contained within half an hour, everything was checked, verified, and inspected and everyone left at about 3:00 AM.
Insurance company has been good so far, fast response, higher estimate than I thought, plus my personal belongings are covered separately.
I have to inventory everything that's loose in there for personal belongings. Tons of stuff got melted, saturated, or smoke damaged.
More than I thought at first but the heat was pretty impressive, containers of expensive Audi gear oil, G12 coolant, all my lubricants and such, the boat is toast, the engine hoist got fried, seals are shot on the piston, patio umbrella and chairs, tires on my bicycle are glazed.
Need to pull it all out, inventory it all, and put in a claim.
Also need to call a couple of contractors and get them out here to look at it and then get working on it.
Insurance company shows that they will replace all the damaged structure, fix the garage door and windows, replace the opener, replace all the burned timbers and siding and roofing, replace the heater, and clean it all up and paint it.
I have to clean out my basement and bring things down there and get back to work on the teardrop. This puts me a couple of weeks behind depending on what work I have to redo but I should still be able to make my deadline.
