it has crossed my mind, I also have my trailer frame coming in, next month might even consider something along the lines of The Castaway to tow behind it

For just one small kid, a reinforced shelf or sling-bed (canvas between two heavy dowels) above the foot of the bed has been used by a few builders, but you really need a 5x10 to make it work. A side tent can work for kids too big for the shelf, especially if you leave the door open on that side.

I like the way this builder made a fold down bed for his child.

I am going with an attachable tent for the grandkids. I prefer to have them close for safety and my sense of peace..

Man it is driving me Crazy. Somewhere on the net or this forum there is a TD with a bunk or a shelf in it. The
picture is funny because the bunk or shelf has a kid laying in it. You do not see himself but the outside or the TD
has an access door to the side where where the bunk it. The kids legs are sticking out of the door.

“You just need to remember to spray his legs with bear repellent befor he goes to bed.” was that caption I was going to
post if I round the picture.

I know the picture is saved on my big computer but the Video card fried last night. Using my old slow laptop now.

spent hours looking.. I think it is bedtime.

Camping with family started out with a large Kelty family tent and as the kids grew the boys got their own 2 person and daughter got her own tent and Mom and Dad moved down to a four person Kelty. Kids at some point want to be separate and as they grew the tents got a bit further apart.
Our Daughter will be camping with us for a couple of days at Agawa Bay (Canada) and she and her husband are getting the 4 person.
