Nice idea for the tankless water heater but it's pretty spendy at almost 3 times what I spent for ours.

That might be do-able if a person was full time traveling. He said it saved 50% on propane bill. $527 will buy more propane than I'll use in 10 years. Sure is nice tho.
Dadgum it! I cut that board 5 times and it's still too short!

The 6 gal DSI water heater in Compass Rose was supposed to be gas electric! did not happen even though I paid for it. so I ended up adding a "Hot Rod" electric element that screws into the drain hole. When you are in a camp ground with electric and paying for the electric why burn propane.

All of the tankless water heaters that I have seen are not well designed as far as transferring heat from gas to water with much/most heat wasted.

I just picked up my Car Mate 7x16 this past Friday. I looked real close at all of the big name brands and I was very impressed with the Car Mate. Also, the local dealer/repair shop is 3 miles from my house.

I might ask you to take a few detailed pics of the interior with the studs exposed for future reference in case I ever need to tear into mine.

Mine is a 7x16 with 6" additional height, 2 roof vents, RV door (which I love) and I also upgraded the interior walls to 1/2 inch.
