Same reason I did. Too much for something that won't last like it should. You build it the way you want for 1/2 the cost and you have a better rig! WIN WIN!!

Picked it up this morning and got it home safe and sound. Looks great, a few things I would have done better but overall a nice product. Tows well as we got quite aquainted with each other blasting threw Chicago. My V6 Nissan took it with ease but got a little thirsty at 75 mph, at 65 I was averaging 12 -14 mpg. I can live with that. Other than that I have to say I am pleased to have it home so I can start working on things. Will post pics, just have to find out what I did with my camera.

Great looking trailer do you know the cost on haveing them do the awning? I really wished I would have had the factory install one on mine,Just one of those things I should have done but to save money passed on it.
I have a ezup canopy but I know it's better to have a factory awning,I guess I could email the company I got my trailer from and see if they would install one and what the cost would be?

Awning was an additional $500, not cheap but easy.

Its not "tiny", but that's going to be a stylin', sweet, home away from home right there! The Nissan V-6 will have its work cut out for it once its finished and loaded. Can't wait to see it finished and being finished.

Trying to keep the weight down as low as possible. Weight of the trailer empty is 2400lbs already, add 1000 pounds of ATV's and everything else and I hope to be still under 4000lbs. which will put me at 2/3 of what the pathfinder is rated to tow. Fuel mileage will definately stink but should handle it ok.

Managed to get the converter and fuse block in tonight.



Overall should be ok for what I need. Well the light worked anyway. Batteries are ready to go in, should be here by early next week.
Found a nifty little fuse block that worked out great and should be fine with solar down the road.



Solar is something I need help with (lots and lots of help) Think I am at the right place..

Have decided to leave the nose alone for now, will get the refrig. and mount it in its limited space and decide how I want to handle everything else. With the boss ladies potty things are really getting tight in that V, not a lot a room for storage. I think my best bet is to just get it functional and decide after a few camping trips. Kind of think about things a little more.

Anyway, in my tracking down the electric, I solved a problem with the rear ramp, seems 2 of the 3 screws holding a trim piece on are keeping the door from sealing. When it gets a bit warmer out I will replace them with rivets. Would have been a lot easier at the factory as they took the time to notch out a bit of the ramp flap to gain some clearance. I guess you get what you pay for in labor. Simple fix anyway, at least I don't have to cut the hinges off and reweld as that is what I origianally thought I would end up doing.

Nice looking starting point for your build!.....I've got an all aluminum 6 X 10 and love it.....wish i would have paid the extra $300 for a 6 X 12 though.....

Glad I went bigger, started by ordering a 7x14, thought I should check on a 16. for an additional $280 I had it ordered. Long story but I ended up with this 18 footer. Seemes like when you already have 2 axels an additional 2 feet is quite cheep. exactly $20 per SQ foot and that included flooring and insulation. Don't think you can build a shed much less insulate it for that. Now, 14 ft would have hauled what I needed but this leaves a little room to grow into. I figure I will not be able to run sport quads forever, but for now I can still real those young turds in. When I can't, a tricked out side by side will fit real nice in it. May not be a quick as I was, but I got more money now and quick I can buy.

Made some progress this past week







The weather is still not great here in Wisconsin, however we had a few nice days that allowed me to get some things done. Bed is about ready to go in, just a few hinges to put on. Will cover the other 1/2 of the nose with a drape and start camping and determine where I want to go with all this after a few weekends.
