Newbie from Fort Collins, Co.

Postby Allymooo » Sat Mar 16, 2013 10:27 am

Hi everyone! I live in Fort Collins, Colorado. I have been OBSESSED with TD campers since my last camping/fishing trip to the North Maine Woods at the end of last April. I'm 45 years old and apperently a bit too soft to camp in winter conditions anymore, but still love the feel of a tent. And a bed. So here I am. Problem solved! What an incredible board you all have! I cant wait to make a HUGE MESS in my garage! -Al

Hi Al and welcome aboard ! I grew up and went to junior high and high school in Colorado Springs when they only had one high school ! I, like you , have become obsessed with the little tear drops. I am a little ahead of you in the process as my garage is a total mess but the build is underway. I would highly recommend you schedule yourself to come to the Walk the Winds gathering in Wyoming August 15th thru the 19th. This gathering is near Pinedale Wyoming which is not to far from you. If your tear is complete ( I hope to have mine done by then ) by then we can all have a look see and meet you. If your tear is not done you can tent camp or motel it in Pinedale and come out to the gathering, meet some folks and get some really good advice about building your tear, that is what my wife and I did last year. Hope to see you there or if not somewhere down the road. Lee and Norma Twin Falls, Idaho.

Welcome to the forum. I'd second the idea of going to a gather to see some teardrops. Pam Wright on this board usually organizes a few camping trips for teardrops in CO.
