PS. I believe that Angib took down his Excel spreadsheet weight charts some time ago; maybe because the weight can change depending on the type of wood used(?). I think that he still has them, though. If I remember correctly, if you use those, they require that you calculate piece by piece to find your own personal trailer's weight. However, if you decide to use heavy or unusual woods, you might be better off weighing a piece of each type of your selected wood and also for your selected plywood and calculating it out from that, to get as close to actual weight as possible. I calculated mine out, before building, and then I verified as much as possible as I completed the build. The end result, as close as I could figure, was within 110 pounds of the original estimate and that figure includes some changes that I made in equipment. So, if you don't use exotic wood or walnut or oak, or something like that, it seems to work very well.

Mine weighed in at 1250 lbs. when I got it licensed and titled. I built it heavy and could easily shave 100 lbs or more off if I were to rebuild it. It is a little heavier now that I have built the galley out.

Ours came in at 1880#. That was loaded without clothes and food. It has a small dorm fridge, bag of charcoal, and a full 20lb propane tank. It is the 2+2H. Build thread in the signature.

I work in an automotive shop that used to deal with a lot of track cars and we have a set of 4 wheel scales. My trailer was fully loaded and ready to camp when I weighed it.Its 5 x 8 and 47 inches tall.I have a group 31 RV battery in the right rear corner and the A/C unit was strapped onto the center of the mattress.

Tongue wt = 168 lbs
Right wheel= 500 lbs
Left wheel = 487 lbs
Combined weight 1167 lbs
I thought the total would be different but thats what the computer gave for totals.I lifted it up with the forklift and set it back down with the same results.Maybe I'll use balsa wood on the next one.

I had previously posted this http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=51479 awhile back , but no interest shown. I had thought that it would be good to place a weight with a trailer, or find a way to attach a weight and size overlay on the trailer photos in the gallery. My theory in why no one seems to post actual weights is that they overshot their goal weights. I fear that mine is going to be so much over by the time I finish, that I'll have to put a heavier axle underneath (or attach reinforcement stock).

I dunno. I just assumed that most people never bother to take their stuff to the scale, or if they do it is either incomplete, or loaded with camping gear, so they're still not sure of the true empty weight.
