Hello fellow Teardroppers,

Well there is a new Teardrop in Greenville, SC today. After lots of hard work and lots of reading on the this site, I have finally given birth to my Tear. Thanks to Chip for stopping by to give advice and keep me on track. It is great to have a friend to share with when you are building. As with everybody's Teardrop, I have to add a few of my own options. I am proud of my LCD TV mount for the cabin. It works great.

We hope you enjoy the pictures in our album. Saturday we head out for Davidson River Campground, Pisgah National Forest for a our maiden voyage.

We will let you know how it goes.

Thanks for all of the post which help me get finished. :D

Gosh!!!! :? How do ya build a teardrop without making a million posts on the site? Just been lurking and soaking up all the info huh? Congratulations on the new addition to the family. :applause:
Chris :D

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

Thanks for sharing your hard work. I am in the planning stages and would like to know your total weight and tongue weight when loaded. I am thinking about a platform like you have and wondering what you ended up with.

Here is a funny story about the weight. IN the process of getting the Teardrop titled and tagged, the DMV person told me I didn't have to have it weighed. So her watching I wrote down 1000 lbs. I still feel like I got away with something. We plan to take it and get it weighed soon at a truck stop or some other place. My guess is 1000 to 1200 lbs.
