Thanks for your comments on my build, its a tuff economy now, the great depression all over????
Sorry to hear you also, but hold your head up and don't give up
Hmm, welfare maskes it well... Seem its non existant for some, roof, tv, beer, drugs, free dental, free doctors, just because they choose not to contribute but to take instead, Never gone there, and I never will
As for bad luck, hmm, have to pounder that.
I'm finally going to be doing something I dreampt of doing 30 years ago, go west, Will get to see grandkids grow up, a huge change from the everyday dulldrums. BUilt my own trailer instead of fixin other peoples trailers,
I'm wondering if its realy good luck or a change in luck.
The build has been rewarding for me, both in the doing and the future its taking me to. I became owned by my belongings, I will be owned no more.
I own my little trailer, it does not own me.
As stupid as it seams, the little trailer I am building has given me a new lease on life, a new direction to follow. I almost feel like one of the pioneers that climbed into a covered wagon to head west...and the only bandits on the way will be the gas stations....lol, except I'll get there much quicker, unless my truck pukes on the way out
Hey, I even own the hat. Had my cowboy hat since I was 16 years old, guess its about time to use it:)

I probably feel more possitive about the future more now then probably in the last 51 years

Well got the sink base finished except for stain on the pine.

Image

Got the wheel well finally covered from sink to gaucho/bed

Image

And got he aluminum angles on the wheel well edges

Image

Just have to make a cover for the mechanical cubby.
And cut one piece of luan for the wall around the furnace cabinet
then its load and store
After that just need to cover the lower exterior walls for final weatherproofing.
Won't happen till sometime this summer, hope I can score some trailer siding and paint it charcol to match rockers on truck.
If not, Diamond plate or Red Aluminum, not sure which way to go
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

Well the son stayed in it this weekend up at the summer camp where we will be living in the 35 footer this summer.
Few snickers here and there...LOL
Looks good in the trees, blends right in.
Son liked it, and we liked he wasn't in our trailer bugging us

Installed one thing that was needed.
Picked up a Magic Mesh Screen door.
Saw them on TV, it velcros across the top and down the sides, you just walk through it and it parts then closes itself
Works ok, had to do something with a 35" wide door. A little more customizing to do, maybe some bottom weights, had to cut it for length because of the short door height so it needs hemmed also

Image
That should be it for awhile, untill I get some more aluminum and change the tires and wheels
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

velcro at top and sides, is that refridgerator magnet down the middle?

I found some rubber track, to put screen cloth on a ratchet pull down blind, to use for a entrance screen. Had to have something to seal the sides. that approach looks good too. It may outlast a ratchet blind method, and you can take it off if no bugs at that time of year...

Well I'm not dead....lol
So hows everyones summer going?
Had the trailer up at the park a few weekends as guest house for our son

Working some but its another slow year
Got some emblems on the trailer, have to keep it tied to the truck...

My blue oval
Image

I guess the name is now FX Sport, made from two ford emblems :)

Image
And the big score on a Kijiji a used online board up here

16 inch Aluminum American Racing rims with Continental 225 x 16" 50 series tires
No dings, no curb rash, never seen snow off a garage pampered 69 Mustang
$200 with tires, Whoo Hoo!!!! SCORE !!!!!

Image

Image

I love the new look, was so tempted to put the rims on my truck instead of the trailer

Image
I read the boards everyday still, but hard to post from the smart phone
Some cool builds happening as of late

Those wheels look awesome, they really set it all off great. It's the final touch to make it scream "Custom built" :applause:

Hey, you never know. Keep looking and you could get lucky and score another set for the TV. Those wheels are nice and you got a screaming deal!

Work or no work, that would be super hard to pass up.

Looking sweet. I'd have been tempted too with the tires and rims to the tv. Or even turning it over and reselling for profit. I have been so far behind on posting myself, due to Work!(for money for family) Weather! (104F in the shade.) Some repairs, organizing, and PROGRESS! ;-)
Forgot where I left off even, with the posts.
Glad you are alive and well and copacetic.

Re: FX Sport, Mo Bling...lol

Well, had enough of looking at the angle and ply remains of the garbage wagon.
Figured I had to bring it up to snuff, was torn between continuing the red down to the bottom, or tread plate, Wife made the call, so Blingmobile it is.
2 more sheets of bling and heres where she stands now, Bling Bling....lol

Still have a bit of triming to do around the wheel cuts, but its getting closer to never being done.

Great call on the extra bling. Now your trailer looks very professional.

looks like a bullet proof, storm proof, war wagon. perfect for towing behind a 4x.

closer to never getting done? sometimes I think that about mine too.

I almost have all the cabinets done on mine. just the flip up sink-cabinet to go. paneling in. starting on the ceiling/roof interior. plumbing, lighting. torn between putting in the carpet (white shag) while doing that or not. I should just fit and take a picture, then remove the carpet til the sawdust settles.

I think YOURS turned out great though. Especially your exterior stuff. That was super. And a more complete interior than I might get to for two more builds yet. At least the next one and not started til next year. I'm hoping to get SOME kind of welder this year... Even if a stick. Maybe you could advise me on that. :-)
