I'm not even going to be there and I vote for the porter. :D

To me, darker is almost always better.

I bow to a true brew master who obviously enjoys his craft.

I'm planning to bring 3 different beers this year - the DAM Red Ale that was such a hit last year, my Dark Mild so I can have a "session beer" at <3% alcohol, and either a Porter or an IPA. I haven't decided on the last one yet.

Five gallons of each should hold me, and a few friends for a couple of days

I tasted your beer at the Dam last year and I am looking forward to trying this years batch. Thanks for bringing it.

As promised some months ago I will be bringing several good stoves and lanterns for sale at the Dam. Not trying to make money just thinning the herd. I will be selling stuff for what I paid or lower I just dont want to bring it home. I will be bringing three full size clamshells w/lantern inside, I will probable ask $20 for those. That is lantern and case for $20. I will bring two really nice and running 275s, $15 a piece. At least 2 older big hats, real nice runners - 15 apiece. And more. If you are interested in any of these lanterns let me know or find me at the dam. I do not want to ship them. Dam Gathering special only.

My boy Gideon's brewing. They have done some homebrew festivals in Reno. Name is in honor of my dad who manufactured roulette wheels.

The link did not work for me as I am not a facebook user. Is there a "public" version?

Can we change the event name to Wine and Beer and Cheese Tasting, in all fairness to us beer makers and drinkers?

I'm looking forward to this year's Gathering and am working like mad to get the teardrop ready. Today I repacked the wheel bearings, what a PITA with 65 year old hubs and axle.

I'm sure that Kay would be open to tweaking the Social name a bit if you ask her. It doesn't matter what it's called just be there, okay!

Soon I will be at the Dam Gathering
lighting lanterns around the fire ring

Eating and fishing as I sing
The phone I own will never ring

Soon I will be at he Dam Gathering.

From dusk to dawn I will eat and nap
hide and run or you will hear my rap
Dutch ovens and home made beer we will bring

Soon I will be at the Dam Gathering

Campfire stories will make us laugh
We will tour teardrops on our path
At dinner time a bell will ring

Soon I will be at the Dam Gathering

Kids will play and dogs will run
Ladder ball is so much fun
What else should I bring?

Soon I will be at the Dam Gathering. Just sayin.
