Looks like you've got plenty of storage! Very nice build altogether, and great to see pics of your first adventure.

Thank you Paul.

This is a very encouraging thread. First rate quality throughout and a nice big payoff at the end... you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Cabinets are very well thought out.

Very nice, indeed.

Hi Bob, Excellent cabinet layout in the gallery sir. You say you went with a full size mattress, did you make the cabin shorter than 81 1/2" from head cabinets to aft bulkhead? How did that 4" foam mattress sleep? You're closing in on the finish line now!

All the best,

Dave

Hey everyone.
I know it's been awhile, but I am back. Life sometimes can send you off in very different directions than what you might have planned,
but all is well now. I have tried to follow all of the builds, but I think our group is growing. There are some amazing builds going on, and
some are still going on.( Dave, are you trying to out do Tom?) :R Only kidding. I still have a million things to do to the Tintanic.
When I posted last, I was just getting the cabinets started.
Here I have them stained and painted with the art deco style I used on the interior cabs.

I finally got the bottom cabinets installed.

I love these simple handles with the art deco of the cabs.

Now to finish the top cabs.
Image
Finally completed. I love the pantry. It works so well. I am proud of the cabinets. I've never done any before.
Image
I put this pic in just because I liked it. :pipe:

In using the cabinet layout for the first time, I couldn't be happier. I only changed one thing.
I originally had water storage in the bottom right cabinet. After Reggie filled the cabs, it turned out I needed
a little more space. Since I always have to bring a tow vehicle, I used it for water storage.

Dave , I am so impressed by the Travelear. She is looking fantastic and your craftmanship is outstanding.
Truely a great teardrop. Thank you for letting me borrow a few ideas from you, sir. Very much appreciated.
Thanks to everyone for following along.
All the best,
Bob (& Reggie)

Hi Bob, Great to see a new post on the Tintanic, and back at ya about her looking Fantastic Sir!!! And a BIG SHOUT OUT for your cabinetry work!I was wondering how everything worked for you ergonomically from the inside cabin to the galley and towing? I can't wait till spring when I get to post camping pictures too.

Very nice Bob.

Good use for space. Glad to hear the first trip(s) went well. Now all you need is to replace the picture
in your forum signature. Hahahah.

Hey next time you're out at the camper and have a tape measure handy, how wide is it from Fender to
fender. ( widest point ).

Thanks

Awesome build and awesome name!!! Very nice work, loved all the photos and details.

I apologize if I missed it, but do you happen to know the final weight? Loaded vs. unloaded? And also the distance of the axle centerline from the rear of the trailer?

Thanks!

Hello, I know it's been awhile since I've been on the forum, but life can give you some real challenges to overcome. It's been a pretty rough couple of years. But we made it and are ready to get back into the swing of things. We have made a few improvements to the Tintanic. I changed the jacks on the hatch and was able to raise it so I wouldn't bust my head.
This is my old Walmart, 20 dollar plastic tool box I had on the tongue. I have used it for the last six years but the sun has finally dried it out and made it brittle. It was time for a change.
155754
So I got a new Aluminum box, cut my old tongue jack off and installed another jack that wouldn't hit the tool box.
155755
It works much better than the old one.
155756
I think it looks pretty good.
155757
I had planned on building a tool box, but I just couldn't do it because of my health at the time. I'm doing much better now.
All the best,
Bob (& Reggie)
