Hi Forrest,
There are no stupid questions!!
On the inside of the main cabin I am thinking there will be only shelves, and the electrical race. I am planning a small shelf on the front wall over the head of the bed that will hold cell phones, keys, glasses and the like. Then on the bulkhead a larger shelf to throw our duffel bags on and the electrical race running underneath that. Now, bear in mind that I am flying totally by the seat of my pants here with nothing etched in stone and if what I perceive to be a better idea strikes me at any point in time, I could change my mind. I left enough solid wood in my sandwich walls to install cabinets if I decide to (I had originally planned to until I saw the openness and simplicity of the inside of Zach's X-II) and I'll be turning ideas over in my head while I'm installing my roof. But for now I'm just not seeing the necessity for cabinets.
In the galley I am planning a slide out shelf that will hold the cooler and a lower cabinet where I will store all my supplies in plastic storage containers. The battery will live in there also. There will be a shelf on the bulkhead over the counter for small things like spices and small canisters. I have done away with the idea of the installed sink, faucet, and drop in stove. We bought a nice Coleman 425C for cooking and will just use dishpans and a hose hooked up to the campground water supply for dishes. I'll also carry 3-5 gallons of water in jugs. I'm planning to build at least 1, or maybe 2, tables that will attach to the sides of the trailer for spreading out the galley operations.
More info than you asked for???
I'm striving to keep it simple so I can be camping in
THIS lifetime.
