Personalizations hurting resale values?

Anything to do with mechanical, construction etc

I know my wife and I passed on a house we were looking at because the way the bathrooms were done. One of them was done with Cal colors complete with logo in the tile countertop and the other was done in Stanford colors with the S on the tile counter. The selling owners were Stanford and Cal graduates. I'm a very handy guy and I know I could have redone the bathroom but I just didn't feel like I wanted to tackle that in addition to all the other changes we thought we wanted to make. Anyway, I would leave personalization off unless you intend to redo it prior to selling or don't care if it causes you extra hassles in selling. Just my 2 cents

If I planned on selling I would look at what the TD manufactures offer, stick to the basics and build for quality. Lights, fans, and windows, like in a car the more the better, a nice galley with sink, stove and cabinets/drawers. if I wanted graphics for teams, etc. they would be stuck on to be easy to remove.
the only "next TD" I consider is my 6 person three room idea, and even then once the kids are grown I wonder how easy that would be to sell, 24' long with 6 doors and the galley.
