I know my wife and I passed on a house we were looking at because the way the bathrooms were done. One of them was done with Cal colors complete with logo in the tile countertop and the other was done in Stanford colors with the S on the tile counter. The selling owners were Stanford and Cal graduates. I'm a very handy guy and I know I could have redone the bathroom but I just didn't feel like I wanted to tackle that in addition to all the other changes we thought we wanted to make. Anyway, I would leave personalization off unless you intend to redo it prior to selling or don't care if it causes you extra hassles in selling. Just my 2 cents
