I am looking for a inside door handle that fits a 3/8" square shaft all others are 5/16" The outside is a Bergman H 20-2

Just a dumb suggestion, you could always file 1/32 of an inch off each side to make the end of the shaft 5/16.

File, nothing! Use a power grinder, with a little finesse of course. Actually a belt sander would make it a quick, easy job. Watch your fingers! I usually end up removing my finger prints when I do fine sanding / grinding work like that :O :lol:
