I want to build windchimes and I have everything I need except some 3 inch chrome rings. I have looked all over and can't seem to find any. Any information would be appreciated. Heres what they look like.

Loose-leaf binder rings, perhaps? Office supply stores have a bunch of sizes, including 3".

I don't know if they still have them but... a while back... I used rings like that for macrame plant holders. Hey, it was the 70's. I'd try hobby/craft stores for something like that.

You might be able to use the rings from inexpensive towel holders, or perhaps check out the jewelry counter at your local Wally World.

Check craft stores, look for rings used to make lamp shades. They are available in several diff sizes.

check craft stores, and knit shops, places like joanns fabric.
also flower araingment supplies, and gardening stores.

or if these are the hanger parts,,,not the ringing parts, you can buy brass rod, or aluminium rod and braise your own rings up.
another option is large sized pvc pipe cut in rings.

let us know what you find

I found some windchimes just like I want to make, but of course they are from China. I found a colored tubing supplier in Roanoke, VA and can get the chain from craft suppliers. So I just need to find the chrome rings. I've tried all types of stores and nobody seems to know where I can get them. I'm sure the rings are used for something that I'm not thinking of.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Do they have to be exactly 3 inch rings? This place has them in 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 inch sizes (scroll down the page about half way.)

http://www.outfitterssupply.com/Saddler ... oducts/94/

Hobby Lobby has brass plated 3 inch rings as well...
