Been lurking... and posting

I have got the teardrop bug BAD. It started when I sold my old Bronco and realized immediately that I'd just made it much harder for myself to camp. It used to be that I just had all my tent camping gear in the car ALL the time, so when the mood took me, I loaded the cooler and I went. New car (2012 Focus) is MUCH smaller, so that's no longer an option...

Plans are for a 5x10 teardrop light enough to tow with the wimpy focus, but spacious and well-appointed enough for me, the fiancée, and (most importantly) the dogs. I want electricity and brakes, but no real luxuries (AC, fridge, microwave, tv, etc.). I'll build the infrastructure for these into the trailer just in case I sell it though. I can't start building until we move somewhere with more build space (oh, and get married), so for now I'm doing as much planning and design work as I can to save the headaches later on.
I really appreciate all the help I've received here already in the design stages of the project. I can tell y'all are a great bunch of people and I can't wait to get to know each of you more as the sawdust and ideas start to fly. In the meantime, here are some pics to familiarize you with me and my project, "The Blue Oval." Sorry if the pics are big, you may have to zoom out. I'm a little new at this.
The Fiancée (Amanda) and myself (Evan)
Official teardrop inspectors Lilly (dachshund) and Guinness (mutt)
T.V. #1: 2012 Focus Hatch (manual)
T.V. #2: 1967 Ford Galaxie XL, 428" V8, 5-speed manual death machine
Planned profile and my first attempt at the graphics for the side (top and sides will be FRP)
Thanks again for all the help so far! Hope I'll be starting my build thread soon, and in the meantime there will be lots of questions I'm sure.
See y'all down the road!
Evan
