Here's a trick I learned when I temporarily tried my hand at outside sales. I would set a goal (20 cold calls, 1 new client, $2500 in sales, something like that) and once I reached that goal, I would treat myself to something. One time it would be a nice dinner out, a morning off, a new suit, something I wouldn't ordinarily do for myself. The good thing is that it kept me working and trying. The bad part is that I learned I sucked at sales and I stayed in way too long.
That rebuild will be really sweet when it gets done. Set small goals and keep at it. I just read this thread from the beginning and you started with such excitement and I know sometimes reality sets in, but I'd really like to see the final product.
